The formation of pyrophyltite solid solutions
نویسنده
چکیده
pyrophyllite solid solutions, AlrSi.-.Al,oro-.(oHr*"), have been synthesized from a gel and from lightly ground and milled natural materials. Solid solutions crystalliTe from structurally degraded or amorphous starting materials due to the tendency for Al3* to enter tetrahedral sites. The extent of solid solution is small; synthesis from a gel yielded pyrophyllite with the formula Al2 o(Si3 rAL 2)O, r(OH)2 2.

Chlorite group minerals have a wide range of chemical compositions which reflect the physicochemical conditions of their crystallization. The solid solution (cationic substitution) model in crystal lattice of chlorite were satisfactorily used in estimation of its formation temperature in different geologic environments such as ore deposits, low-degree metamorphism, hydrothermal alteration and d...
متن کاملFundamental Solutions of Dynamic Poroelasticity and Generalized Termoelasticity
Fundamental solutions of dynamic poroelasticity and generalized thermoelasticity are derived in the Laplace transform domain. For poroelasticity, these solutions define the solid displacement field and the fluid pressure in fluid-saturated media due to a point force in the solid and an injection of fluid in the pores. In addition, approximate fundamental solutions for short times are derived by...
متن کاملFormation of Poly(vinylidene fluoride) Nanofibers Part II: the elaboration of incompatibility in the electrospinning of its solutions
Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) fibers with two molecular weights were prepared via electrospinning process. In this process, the concentration of spinning depended drastically on the gelation process. Also, it was experimentally smaller than obtained concentration in the solution entanglement number approach (SENA). Proof of this incompatibility was explained by the properties of PVDF a...
متن کاملObservations of Sludge Formation in Group I Base Stock for Lubricants and Thermodynamic Modeling with the SAFT Equation of State
Varnish and sludge formation are considered as one of the most common problems in lubrication and hydraulic systems. In order to simulate the condition of sludge formation, base stock lubricant (Group 1 API) has been selected and exposed to heat in a laboratory setup. Sludge formation process accelerated in the laboratory scale and solid liquid equilibrium data were extracted. Then solid-liquid...
متن کاملThermodynamic analysis of nanocrystalline solid solution formation in the W-Co-Si ternary system by mechanical alloying
Co3W2Si intermetallic compound was synthesized by mechanical alloying (MA) of W, Co and Si elemental powder mixtures. The phase composition of the milled products was evaluated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. Morphological evolutions were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results showed that high energy ball milling performed in the present work led to the format...
